Hi, I’m Cassidy!

MEET ME

I’m someone who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. I love spending quality time at home with my husband and our three beloved dogs—ages 2, 3, and a wise 18! When I’m not snuggled up with them, you can find me diving into the world of video games. I play mostly on my Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Some of my all-time favorites include Zelda, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, and Dreamlight Valley.

Reading is another passion of mine, particularly in the fantasy genre. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them! The Lord of the Rings trilogy holds a special place in my heart, both in book and movie form. And while the story is unique from the core world, I have been enjoying the new Rings of Power TV series as well.

When I’m not gaming or lost in a good book, you can find me swimming, spending time with family and friends, or exploring my creative side. I enjoy everything from making candles and painting to macrame and embroidery. This year, I’m excited to focus on building my endurance in swimming so I can learn to scuba dive—something I’ve always wanted to do!

EDUCATION

I graduated summa cum laude (4.0 GPA) with my Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Human-Computer Interaction Certificate. Additionally, I was invited to Delta Mu Delta and Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Societies for academic excellence and named the top Informatics student of my graduating class. My informatics degree gives me great insight into front and backend development which is highly beneficial when designing. My love of learning and passion for the industry has only grown as I find myself always searching for more ways to grow my skill set. This has led to my pursuit of a Masters in UX Design which I will graduate with in 2025.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

I am an enthusiastic designer and mixed methods researcher with 4 years of experience working for large and small companies. I have always worked closely with other departments and high-ranking stakeholders to discuss and present complex projects. Through my experience, I understand the unique complexity of each project I work on and have learned how to navigate diverse challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

My goal as a UX Designer and Researcher is to look deeply at the interaction between a user and a product. I'm able to drive product discovery and customer research by utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methods, ethnographic exploration, and statistical analysis. I synthesize exploratory and data-driven research findings into actionable insights that align with user needs and company goals. From here, I use modern UX/UI Design methods to design successful products. Conducting meticulous research, creating detailed plans, and building out improved designs are what I admire most about my job. To me, UX Design is the perfect blend of creative and technical work.
